Position Brief

 

VCLvACC is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume the role of ATC Training Director for Vietnam-Cambodia-Laos vACC.

 

Responsibilities

 

Reports To: vACC Director, vACC Deputy Director

Reports From: vACC Instructors, vACC Mentors

 

Key Duties To Role

 

• Takes direct reports from vACC Instructors and vACC Mentors

• Reports to vACC Director and vACC Deputy Director

• Monitors all ATC Cert Upgrades and notifies vACC Director, vACC Deputy Director when a member needs a Cert Rating Upgrade

• Develops all training material and [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist on Standard Operating procedures with the vACC Operations Director

• Attends periodic vACC meetings

• Recruits and monitors all progress on Instructors and mentors within the vACC

• Conducts training staff meetings when required

• Maintains an online present of 5-10 hours per week on the Network and within VATSEA Discord Server

 

Prerequisites

 

• The applicant must have a rating of a Controller (C1) or higher with good knowledge of ATC Services. I1 or above is essential for the role

• The applicant must have good knowledge of Pilot Services and the software used. P1 Rating is essential

• The applicant must be in good nature with VATSIM for more than 6 months and have good knowledge of VATSIM Policies.

• The applicant must have some prior knowledge or experience to the role eg. Previous instructor or mentoring endorsement

• The applicant shall have the ability to communicate clearly through different mediums to different people of different cultures, backgrounds and countries

• The applicant must be able to commit to at least 5-10 hours per week to the role actively controlling or on VATSEA Discord Server

• The applicant should have extended knowledge of the local area (Vietnam, Cambodian and Laos) but no essential

• The applicant must be fluent in English spoken and written but other languages especially local are an [Mod - Happy Thoughts]et to the vACC

• The applicant must be available to have an interview if required

• The applicant must be available to send a letter or recommendation from their current vACC/ARTCC/Division Director if required
