Andrew Morkunas Posted January 30, 2018 at 02:29 PM Posted January 30, 2018 at 02:29 PM For vPilot users the easiest and fastest way is through the vPilot client, .x squawkcode. In xPlane it has to be done on the transponder panel in the aircraft. And do not forget to squawk mode C. Morten Jelle Posted January 31, 2018 at 12:01 PM Posted January 31, 2018 at 12:01 PM Actually, the manual is covering how to change squawk and frequencies in the radio panel. But you click the button left to the squawk display, so it is showing as active, then you use the scroll button, to change the digits. The outerscroller, takes 2 digits, and inner does the same. That's all you have to do. Press the button for 3 seconds, until it changes to activate the transponder/TCAS to TA/RA. Christopher Liu Posted February 1, 2018 at 03:56 PM Posted February 1, 2018 at 03:56 PM The Q400 transponder has a "standby" and "active" code, so just like most radios you set the squawk in the standby box then change to active by taping the button next to it. To switch between STBY and TA/RA you hold that same button, as Morten described.
