March 12th 10Z to the 18th 20Z

 

It's official, the world health organization has declared Phase 6 as 4 diseases have reached pandemic levels. And you have been drafted into the CDC-WHO emergency taskforce

 

The world is going down the drain, 4 major diseases have flared up and it's up to us, pilots of vatsim to contain the outbreak.

During the 7 days of the event fly to hot-spots around the globe bringing special CDC and WHO biohazard teams that are racing against time to contain the epidemic.

 

Rules:

 

1. 9 Cities will be randomly infected at the start of the event. (3cities with level 3 infection 3 cities with level 2 infection and 3 cities with level 1 infection)
   If a city reaches level 4 infection it outbreaks infecting neighboring cities
   You need to start in Atlanta (CDC Headquarters) or Geneva (WHO Headquarters)
   You need to start the next flight from where you landed.
   Each confirmed landing at one of the infected cities removes an infection token from the map
   Every 24 hours the infection spreads and intensifies and the board is updated.
   Flights in real time only no time acceleration. Supersonic planes are allowed.
   Have fun and save the world!

 

You need to confirm your landing by pasting you flight link onto the Discord server that will be available during the week

Updates to the game board will also be available on the discord server and maybe on this forum too.

Status Update

 

Security Council Members, after declaring Level 6 pandemic for the H1N1(m) we have mobilized both CDC [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ets based in Atlanta and WHO [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ets in Geneva. We have been able to deploy 9 hazmat level 4 teams to affected areas thanks to our rapid drafting of airframes and pilots.

Other [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ets are on route to farther destinations and we are planning a full response to the Chennai incident

We are happy to report that our scientists have found the cure thanks to the m[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ive support by our pilot network. Producing the cure is underway and the self replicating vaccines should be ready in a few minutes. Atlanta and Geneva are available for you to pickup the cure immediately. Please spread it to all Pilots and strategic cities on the board. We need to immunize all cities before Sunday 20Z as the vaccine is extremely fragile and will expire for immunization at 20:00Z. Please keep it extremely well refrigerated.
