I connect via V-pilot but am not logged in to vatsim!

I type in flight number, flight plan in vpilot, I click connect and squawk C, but then I cant see any controllers online. I know for a fact that there are controlers online in the area and other aircrafts, which I can't see either. When I look on both vatspy and project fly I do not appear on the map, it's as if I'm online but vpilot is showing that I'm online! Also I get no errors and am using the latest version of vpilot

Edit: I've tried several different vatsim servers, which does not make any difference

Does vPilot say that you are actually connected?

Does vPilot say you have selected Observer mode?

Vatspy won't show you immediately but check after a minute or two. Vatsim stats shows 5 connections yesterday, so I guess you managed it.
