peter kofman Posted March 27, 2018 at 12:45 PM Posted March 27, 2018 at 12:45 PM What is everyone using for p3dv4.2 to connect I am using vpilot . I used to always use fsinn but cant get it working I think vpilot is crashing the sim after about 10 minutes ( flying pmdg 738ngx) Any ideas would be helpful Note running w10 x64, p3dv4.2 x64 ( all in admin ) Thank you Pete Peter Kofman Toronto Ontario RWP 2000 hours Single Day Night Vfr OTT IFR Twin Rated Water
Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted March 27, 2018 at 05:17 PM Board of Governors Posted March 27, 2018 at 05:17 PM vPilot is best. vPilot most likely (like 99.9% sure) is not crashing your sim, but it may well be reporting either a sim crash or loss of connection to you when the sim hiccups. What error messages are being displayed? Don Desfosse Vice President, Operations

Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted March 27, 2018 at 10:13 PM Board of Governors Posted March 27, 2018 at 10:13 PM I think nearly everyone would agree that it's vPilot. Next time you have a crash, pay close attention to the error message and/or the information in the Windows Event Viewer, and do a search in the VATSIM forums on key words in the error message and/or event viewer. Chances are you'll find information there. If not, feel free to post here and folks will certainly try to help. Norman Blackburn Posted March 28, 2018 at 06:56 AM Posted March 28, 2018 at 06:56 AM In absolute terms vPilot can't crash the sim but perhaps some models you are using for display can. As advised, check what error messages you get in Windows Event Viewer when this next happens for more information. Norman
peter kofman Posted March 28, 2018 at 11:59 AM Author Posted March 28, 2018 at 11:59 AM Has anyone has success using fsinn in p3dv4.2 ( x64). Is it possible to have it run successfully side by side with a x64 application. I have always really liked that interface. As for the event viewer. and vpilot. I ran two successful flights and no crashes.. So....... ???? Ill wait for the big day again and report back on the findings. Computers and simulation can be so much fun!! Thank you for all of the advice. great community for advice.
