Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted May 10, 2018 at 02:25 PM Posted May 10, 2018 at 02:25 PM Given that Microsoft generated all those versions of flight simulator up to and including FSX...or Flight I guess really, it has always struck me as odd that they modeled several key airports well enough, like JFK, Schipol, Heathrow, etc yet their "home" airport of KRDM, Redmond Washington, has always been just a grouping of typical flight sim default buildings, no fancy detail, just a "normal" airport. The one single airport they had immediate and potentially unlimited access to...and yes, I know all the ACES team may not have been located at Redmond...is just a run of the mill, normal, airport with very little detail. Just the thoughts of a rambling mind in cruise over western Washington... Randy Randy Tyndall - KBOI ZLA I-11/vACC Portugal P4 “A ship is always safe in the harbor. Randy Tyndall 1087023 Posted May 11, 2018 at 02:52 AM Author Posted May 11, 2018 at 02:52 AM Yep, I know, but I was cruising over western Washington having just left Redmond for Seattle when it struck me that Redmond was kinda "plain" for being Microsoft Headquarters.
