Hi everyone,

I'm new to Vatsim and I'm trying to get the software etc installed to use it. I've installed everything included in the pack and followed the instructions.

I'm up to the part where trying to get Squawkbox to connect to the server. I load up FS2004, start up SBRelay, go to multiplayer in FS and find the server in there. Connect to the server fine, create a flight and open Host SB window. Then I load up Squawkbox, select the Internet/IP For Direct Play option. I then select "Search" but the server thats supposed to appear there, doesn't.

Can any please advise. Do I need to load up SB without the server first and enter my user details there or whats the story.

Any help here would be awesome.

Cheers muchly

Chris

When SB asks for an IP address try putting 127.0.0.1, if you tried that try leaving the IP address blank.

If the above doen't work and no other replies have a look in the Pilot Resource Centre http://www.vatsim.net/prc

Good luck.

If the suggestion above doesn't work, make sure that you check your firewall settings, or router settings if you have one.

I have the same problem as you, I cannot find the session in Squawk Box, even when entering the IP 127.0.0.1 .

If you still want to connect, press the cancel button at the bottom right of the squawk box screen when it is searching for the session.

This will allow you to connect to everything, and the only problem is that you will not be able to see other planes online, but they will be able to see you, and ATC will see you too. That is a problem indeed, and if I find the reason for that, I will let you know.
