Sean Harrison Posted June 4, 2018 at 10:48 AM Posted June 4, 2018 at 10:48 AM Not sure of the detail, but Boeing seems to be talking of folding wings on the under development 777-X to be able to maintain wing span restrictions on the ground. Would this be possible to develop in FSX? Animations are possible, they have done it for refuelling booms etc. even wing flex, so will this be achievable? Richard McDonald Woods Posted June 4, 2018 at 12:57 PM Posted June 4, 2018 at 12:57 PM Hi Sean, If it has been possible to simulate wing flex, there is probably no problem with simulating the folding wings. A study level 777X will not be possible until Boeing know the characteristics of the aircraft in flight and a simulator developer gets access to that data. My guess is that a realistic 777X simulation will not be available until a couple of years after entry into service - mid-2022? HTH Cheers, Richard You are the music, until the music stops.
