Elliot Lezam 895373 Posted June 18, 2006 at 03:19 AM Posted June 18, 2006 at 03:19 AM Hey Ross or anyone on the development team... I was wondering if this is possible: Having the ability to specify in vrc to use a push to talk button outside the keyboard. For ex, instead of holding the cntrl key you can simple press a button on the joystick, right next to you which isnt being used... If its possible, I would love that as an option for vrc! Shawn Goldsworthy 925085 Posted June 18, 2006 at 06:40 AM Posted June 18, 2006 at 06:40 AM I believe this was mentioned somewhere in the VRC forums about using a mouse button as a PTT, not sure on the status of it though. Ruth McTighe 824054 Posted June 18, 2006 at 08:14 AM Posted June 18, 2006 at 08:14 AM I'm intrigued as to why you would want to use a ptt on a joystick when controlling. For me it would mean repeatedly moving my hands away form the keyboard when I'm typing and slow things down. When I had a five button mouse, I used to have one button configured as the ptt (that was in the days of ProController). I can't remember how I did it though. Ruth VATGOV7 well yeah, a 5 button mouse would be a similar thing. but when im holding down for instance cntrl, and i try to type something to another pilot, or switch windows to edit a file plan its very hard, or impossible to do. I was wondering if theres an option to use a button not on the keyboard, or the 2 mouse buttons to use for ptt

Jason Herman 911755 Posted June 18, 2006 at 11:17 PM Posted June 18, 2006 at 11:17 PM This sounds like two very good topics that seem more relevant in the VRC forums as opposed to the "VRC Help" forum here on the VATSIM forums. I'm not trying to cease conversation here, just suggesting that these suggestions and comments are more likely to be noted within the VRC forum: http://www.metacraft.com/VRC/forums/ I'm interested in this topic as well...
