Lennart Vedin Posted June 21, 2006 at 07:18 AM Posted June 21, 2006 at 07:18 AM Just installed some ant-viirus software, disabled after the 2nd crash and still doing it. Many Antivirus program require to uninstall to complete turn off. Or require at least turn all antivirus "Services" (if you know all services names ) off and reboot. Just turn such "auto-protection off" or "disable" from the user-menu, may only turn a few options off. / Lennart Vedin /
Ross Moir 844817 Posted June 21, 2006 at 12:46 PM Posted June 21, 2006 at 12:46 PM Well, i bought it for a reason. Any other idea's? There are some anti virus software programs out there which play merry hell with Flightsim , apparently you have found one of them. Unless you are actually downloading things from the net while you are flying , you do not need your anti virus running. You should , of course , keep your firewall running at all times . Don Boyer 933361 Posted June 21, 2006 at 02:49 PM Author Posted June 21, 2006 at 02:49 PM I believe i fixed it. Apparently, whenever you exit out of a program, in this case anti-virus software, it doesn't close down completly. You need to go into CTRL,ALT,DLT and then go under the processes tab. From there, scroll down to your program, right click and select end task. Now the program is completly off. Also, if anyone experiences lag ingame, going into here and turning off unneeded things may speed up your game a bit because there will be less backround tasks. Thanks for the help guys!
