I am struggling with how to get FS9 ready for my 1st online flight and what I need to do on FS9 and on the VATSIM website?

Have you checked out the Pilot Resource Centre? Specifically look for the all in one download.

 

It has everything you ever needed to get online with your setup.

Yeah, I tried it and got it going, but when I am parked it asks me in orange for data(required), what do I need to do here? And another question, If I want to exit all I have to do is sign off and disconnect from multiplayer, right? Thanks!
