Joseph Adams Posted September 24, 2018 at 07:47 PM Posted September 24, 2018 at 07:47 PM The subject line says it all. I'm trying to find a simple reference to real-world, airport-specific daily aircraft movement numbers, broken out by airframe. In other words, if I want to instantly see how many E145s departed from KDFW yesterday, where can I go? Before you reply: Could I sit on FlightRadar/Flightaware and count planes one by one, after searching airport by airport? Or go to FlightRadar's Routes page and make an educated guess by counting the number of routes for single-airframe airlines? Or run filters through Excel of amalgamated airline schedules? Or maybe travel to an airport and just watch from the observation deck? Sure. But that's the kind of thing I do not want to do. If anyone knows of a web site/database that readily provides these numbers, please let me know! Thanks. ETA: If I find an answer elsewhere, I'll revise this post to provide the info for any folks interested. Joseph Adams

Actually, I was going to suggest FlightAware, as you can search by aircraft type, then sort by origin. That should get you the numbers that you were looking for. For example: I can go to flightaware, hover over Live Flight Tracking, select Browse by Aircraft Type, enter in the ICAO code for the aircraft, and that will bring them up in real time around the world. From there, you can click on "origin" (you'd have to scroll down), and that should get you what you're looking for. Now again, this is for Real Time. If you're wanting historical data, that may be harder to get, and may cost.. BL. Brad Littlejohn ZLA Senior Controller
Martijn Rammeloo Posted September 25, 2018 at 05:38 AM Posted September 25, 2018 at 05:38 AM Schipol has an excellent API: https://www.schiphol.nl/en/developer-center/ (I use this API to determine real-life gates for inbound flights on VATSIM) Martijn

Two problems with this approach, unfortunately: 1 - It's the exact kind of manual process that I do not want to do. 2 - It doesn't actually provide the information I am seeking. Hopefully will find a method shortly. Joseph Adams
