Hi,

I am trying to install vPilot ver. 2.1.11 in my P3Dv4 simulator. The installation seems to be alright, however when I start vPilot, I get the following error:

"Unhandled exception: Unable to obtain public key for StrongNameKeyPair"

Any help would be appreciated

Brgds

Hi Jürgen,

A quick search of this very forum for StrongNameKeyPair would show the answer. Run vPilot as Administrator.

No, I'm painfully aware. I guess reading is a lost art these days....

Not to defend the lack of reading, but running vPilot as an Administrator isn't a long-term viable solution. The whole push moving forward with Windows and UAC controls is that we should be avoiding the blanket fix of having to run every simulation-related program as an Administrator.

Jamie, you may want to start a new thread for your question if searching on the forums does not give an answer.

Before you do, though, please just read the FAQ (pinned at the top of this forum). Your answer is there.....
