No matter which app I try, Vpilot ,XSquawbox, it tells me my id and or p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word is incorrect. I have even reset my p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word and used that to no avail.

Anyone have a clue how to make this work. I am new to VATSIM.

John, welcome (back) to VATSIM. Just a hunch, but did you reactivate your account within the last 24 hours? If so, did you notice the note on the reactivation page that said:

It can take up to 24 hours for new or reactivated VATSIM membership records to be flowed to all of the distributed VATSIM servers, as the membership information is flowed to the servers via daily server synchronizations. If, within the first 24 hours, you cannot log onto the server of your choice, you may have to try different servers until you find one that has already been synchronized. You should only open a member support ticket if you still cannot log onto ANY server AFTER 24 hours has elapsed since your reactivation.

VATSIM is made up of a bunch of servers that are all interconnected. However, membership data is pushed to each server once or twice (or so) a day -- it's not instantaneous for all servers. So if you're within the first 24 hours, you could try connecting to another server -- unless you JUST reactivated within the last couple of hours, chances are at least one of the servers has received your membership information by now. Then, after the 24 hours has elapsed, you may choose to connect to the server closest to you so you can take advantage of the proximity (lower ping rate, etc.).

Again, welcome back.
