For this week's event we will tour the south island flying between 3 of the South Island's most interesting airports. Fly between the largest airports in the South Island (NZCH) to the airport with the most challenging approach (NZQN) before heading all the way north to the northern most airport of the south island (NZNS). The routes fly over some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the South Island exploring some of the most interesting areas in New Zealand. The northbound leg travels up the spine of the Southern Alps, overflying the Southern Lakes region, before crossing into Buller and descent into Tasman Bay. Completing the whole return journey will take approximately 2 hours in a jet aircraft while if you intend to complete all the legs in a prop aircraft it is recommend that you depart as early as possible or fly only a few legs.
