Hello, I am new to this website, my problem is that when I open FSX,fly now,use drop down and select Squawk Box and get to the connect screen, it shows no information. I am somewhat confused because I thought that after 24 hours of registering that this info would be there. What am I doing wrong??

Charles when you get your Vatsim membership information, which will be your Vatsim number and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] number, you will need to input the information yourself, it will not automatically do it.

Also I recommend installing Vpilot instead of Squawkbox, as Squawkbox is no longer supported and updated by it developer anymore, whereby Vpilot is still supported and updated regularly.

Agree with Marcus -- vPilot is by far your better option. SB is not up to date, e.g. incorrect aircraft suffix codes, need to manually fix the no servers issue, etc. If you insist on using SB, though, you can update the server list manually per the thread at the top of this forum.

I tried that, it still will not connect. Error message says I need a call sign and a server.

I uninstalled SB and installed V pilot. I don't think I am going to have any problems other than learning how to talk to ATC.

Thanks for the help. If I have problems I will post them on the forum.

Charles you need to input the call sign you will use during your online flight, for example BAW114 (British Airways). I am not sure if there is a server list anymore on Squawkbox, but if there is you select the server which is closes to you real life location.
