Dean Riches 916635 Posted July 11, 2006 at 08:57 PM Posted July 11, 2006 at 08:57 PM Hi, dumb questions before I go online flying for the first time. Intending to fly in se corner (Victoria / Tasmania), if there is no centre do I tune coms to unicom or centre frequency (i.e mel-tas, mel-bik) as identified on the vatpac site. (I am aware there is about three centre channels covering tasmania in real life, but I am [Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming we tune to the one identified on vatpac 120.70 I think?) Sorry if this is a dumb question
Andrew Steinberg 939662 Posted July 11, 2006 at 09:53 PM Posted July 11, 2006 at 09:53 PM Read this: http://www.vatsim.net/prc/ If there is not atc online you would tune UNICOM and make your position reports on there. David Humble 866503 Posted July 11, 2006 at 10:00 PM Posted July 11, 2006 at 10:00 PM If there is a Centre controller online, give them a call, we are normally able to provide an out of area service, if they are too busy they will let you know and then you can go to Unicom, David
