Peter Maria 1376778 Posted March 22, 2019 at 08:55 PM Posted March 22, 2019 at 08:55 PM I'm planning to attempt my first CTP event flight after 10+ years on VATSIM and I'm curious what information is required for the pre-booking? I'll have my departure and arrival airports, equipment, and preferred time. From my understanding of reading the FAQs a flight plan will be [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned before the event, but will it be the full flight plan, or just the oceanic segment? If just the oceanic segment, then I'm guessing I simply file the full flight plan as normal within the time constraints on the day of flight. I see mention in the FAQ about refunds, is there a cost to participate?
Ryan Geckler Posted March 22, 2019 at 09:58 PM Posted March 22, 2019 at 09:58 PM You'll get a full flight plan the early morning of the event. Be sure to use that flight plan otherwise you'll get routed on to it anyways. No charge, unless you want to pay us money Ryan Geckler - GK | Former VATUSA3 - Division Training Manager VATSIM Minneapolis ARTCC | FAA Miami ARTCC
Robert Shearman Jr Posted March 22, 2019 at 11:42 PM Posted March 22, 2019 at 11:42 PM what information is required for the pre-booking? I'll have my departure and arrival airports, equipment, and preferred time. If the booking system is similar to years past, it'll ask you to enter a preferred callsign & SELCAL code. Those, I believe, can be edited after the fact -- so, if in a panic to lock in a slot, you should be able to get by with dummy values & then you can come back later & decide what you really want. Cheers, -R.
