Joseph Gilbert 928381 Posted July 18, 2006 at 07:44 PM Posted July 18, 2006 at 07:44 PM I do everything from dark and cold to starting the engines and take off. I set the IRS (I think I am doing it right) and the waypoints all show up but when I take off I see the aircraft not moving on the EHSI. The EHSI stays put and doesn't move so I do not get to the waypoints. So it throws me all off. How do I properly set up the IRS and FMC so that I can get to where I am going. Also how do you properly set the IRS the first time. I usually get confused and have to start all over and wait for the blank boxes in the FMC to appear and fill them in manually. I am having problems with the Inertial Reference System. I do not think I am setting that up to cooperate with the FMC and my EHSI plane isn't moving to give me guidance to my waypoints. Everything goes fine but it's just that I cannot use LNAV because I am not on the right path and I can't be on the right path unless I can get to the waypoints. The EHSI is not moving what so ever. Thank you for any suggestions.
Daniel Hill 810430 Posted July 19, 2006 at 12:31 PM Posted July 19, 2006 at 12:31 PM Read the extensive manual that comes with the PIC 733. May take a few days to read and understand, but it's the ONLY way to get it right and understand why you are having the problem. Bryan Ingram 969666 Posted July 25, 2006 at 01:53 AM Posted July 25, 2006 at 01:53 AM Hey, Just about 3 months ago I bought the PIC737 and it took me a while to find out GO BY THE CHECKLISTS and the other night I tought MYSELF how to make an autoland and how everything works. Going by the checklists helps SOOOOOO MUCH!!! It even says on the preflight checklist how to set up the IRS indicators. So try using a checklist.
