Harry Sugden Posted April 12, 2019 at 12:24 AM Posted April 12, 2019 at 12:24 AM @Gergely We've set up our sector file in the UK such that when observing, users may set a specific callsign in the .ese to enable them to use Alternative Sector Ownership: EXAMPLE_OBS::199.998:O:O:EXAMPLE:OBS:-:-: For all our sectors, we have set up various ownerships that can then be selected according to where they wish to observe: SECTOR:KKTWR:0:2000 OWNER:KKT:KKF:KKA:TCSW:TCS:TC:LS:LWS:LSC:L ALTOWNER:Observing LON_S_CTR:KKT:KKF:KKA:TCSW:TCS:TC:O:LM:LS:LWS:LSC:L ALTOWNER:Observing LTC_S_CTR:KKT:KKF:KKA:TCSW:O:LM:TCS:TC:LS:LWS:LSC:L ALTOWNER:Observing London FIR:O:LM:KKT:KKF:KKA:TCSW:TCS:TC:LS:LWS:LSC:L ALTOWNER:Mentoring TWR/APP:KKTM:KKT:KKF:KKAM:KKA:TCSW:TCS:TC:LS:LWS:LSC:L BORDER:KKTWR DEPAPT:EGKK ARRAPT:EGKK Previously, with 'Set active APT by owned sectors' set to on, EuroScope would - as it would if you were an active controller - then select the airports for which the ALTOWNER conditions were met. This seems to have stopped being the case now, but only in a recent revision? Was this changed at some point? Best wishes! Gergely Csernak Posted May 21, 2019 at 07:03 PM Posted May 21, 2019 at 07:03 PM I do not think so. At least it was not intentional. The youngest code around ALTOWNER is back to 2012, according to my source control. Gergely. EuroScope developer
Harry Sugden Posted September 16, 2019 at 01:49 PM Author Posted September 16, 2019 at 01:49 PM Thanks for your reply! Has anything changed with regard to being able to automatically set active airports for observers? So when an observer uses alternate sector ownership, we'd quite like it to select active airports in the same way that it does for active controllers.
