Merritt Kinon 813236 Posted January 6, 2005 at 07:06 PM Posted January 6, 2005 at 07:06 PM Hi All, I am currently running FS9 with SB2.3 and FUIPC3.4.1.1 and it does NOT appear that SB is correctly updating the weather. For instance my FMC says that the airport has Overcast 011 with 2SM visibilty while all I see from the windows of my cockpit are clear blue skies. I installed the FS9 patch but this has been happening prior to that installation. Also, when I manually force SB to update the weather from the SB menu all my clouds and winds disappear. This problem is very irritating since half the fun of flying is the weather!!! Thanks, merritt
Trony Tigno Posted January 6, 2005 at 07:16 PM Posted January 6, 2005 at 07:16 PM Make sure you dont have "ignore weather updates" checked off in hostsb. This will get you weather updates via squawkbox. I personally use the built in weather feature in FS9, which updates every 15min, and "ignore" the weather updates from squawkbox. IMO, I think the FS9 weather is a little better.
