Peter Armstrong 1230152 Posted May 11, 2019 at 04:25 PM Posted May 11, 2019 at 04:25 PM When I right click the database of an aircraft a drop down menu appears. One of the choices in that drop down menu is "Aircraft Info". I used to be informed of that info but, recently I get no response. A message = "type code not found in database" comes up for every aircraft that I request. Help!!!! Many thanks Peter
Ross Carlson Posted May 11, 2019 at 07:04 PM Posted May 11, 2019 at 07:04 PM My best guess is that your aircraft_info.dat file got deleted or corrupted. It should be in "My Docomeents\VRC". If it's not there, try reinstalling VRC. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Mark Taylor 1268798 Posted July 31, 2019 at 07:27 PM Posted July 31, 2019 at 07:27 PM Ross, is it possible to add an unknown type aircraft in the file? I have attempted it but have been unsuccessful. Mark
Ross Carlson Posted August 4, 2019 at 02:31 AM Posted August 4, 2019 at 02:31 AM Sure, it's just a tab-delimited text file. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Mark Taylor 1268798 Posted August 17, 2019 at 02:55 PM Posted August 17, 2019 at 02:55 PM Sure, it's just a tab-delimited text file. Thank Ross, I did get it working. Now, is there a dot command or other way to reload the aircraft info database on the fly without having to stop and restart VRC?
