Hi,

My name is Robbie and i am happy to be a part of vatsim north america- United States ATC. I was reading some of the reading telling you how to sign up, what software you need, etc... When i was reading it told that my region/ division leaders would asign me training and things to do. I am a pilot in the real world and i thought i would give it a try to put myself in the controll tower. I'm just a little confused on this and i was woundering if anyone can help. I just downloaded ASRC and i was woundering if thats all i need to download.

Thanks and i hope to here from you soon.

Robbie,

Are you sure that you have signed up for the VATUSA division? I ran a search on your CID and could not turn anything up in the VATUSA ATM site. That's not saying that you are not there, but from my limited resources, I could not find you. If you are not a member of the VATUSA - North America Division, you will need to select that trhough the VATSIM site, member services link. Once you get [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned to that division, I believe that you will be asked if you want to attend the VATUSA academy. Sorry that I could not help more, but that's about all that I know.

Ok, Lets start from the beginning. i Went to VATSIM.com and signed up for a ATC controller. After it sent me my p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word it [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned me to a divison. When i was reading some of the beginner stuff the reading told me that on the home page of VATSIM where it says on the right side- 7 regions worldwide and i clicked on North America Division because that is what it [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned me to. Not Canada but USA. So i signed in on VATUSA and it said that i was signed in. Then i went to New members section and it told me to send a letter to the training. Then so on i would get a insructorl learn the basics, and take the test.

I hope im not confusing you but this is pretty much all i did. I hope this just takes time and is not an error. i hope to hear from you soon.

Im sorry im very new at VATSIM and im learing. i hpe this all made sense so we can fix this problem up.

Thank you-----My email address is [email protected]

Your welcome email to VATUSA sent by me, tells you that if you are interested in controlling to email [email protected] to be [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned the academy exam... If you are joining VATUSA as a pilot, there is no one to email for obvious reasons.

You can also check this thread http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=10738 that is right above this one one how it works as well...

Once you write to training, they will get you set up with the materials, etc.
