Ethan Shields 1277596 Posted June 1, 2019 at 12:15 AM Posted June 1, 2019 at 12:15 AM Hello everyone, I would like to introduce a mobile app that I made called VATSCAN, an app that displays live VATSIM information on a map and list with a modern and interactive UI. I have released it as public beta on the Android Play Store and it will be released for iOS in the near future as well. https://vatscan.stratospherelabs.io/ VATSCAN is completely free and open-source with many more features planned to be added. Download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stratospherelabs.vatscan Please feel free to suggest new features or improvements here. Thanks! Andreas Fuchs Posted June 1, 2019 at 03:08 PM Posted June 1, 2019 at 03:08 PM Hi Ethan, thanks a lot for your program! I just installed it and it works nicely! Will you implement filters for airports of departure/arrival? I tried to exit the APP by by double clicking the return-button, but the program did not close. Is this intentional? Richard Asberg Posted June 10, 2019 at 06:28 AM Posted June 10, 2019 at 06:28 AM One thing that would be super useful is being able to see information about online ATC. Such as freq, ATIS for controlled airports etc. If you haven't already, do check out Vattastic which is a great web-based service for some ideas for your app. Richard Åsberg
Gary Townsend Posted June 17, 2019 at 09:43 PM Posted June 17, 2019 at 09:43 PM This is a great program one thing I noticed though. When the Edmonton ATC (CZEG) is online the blue shape file gets cut off partially. The outline is still there but the filled in shape file only covers the southern half of the province. Love the program nice to have that sitting on my phone while i'm flying. Canada Air Virtual
