Daniel Katz Posted June 3, 2019 at 11:28 AM Posted June 3, 2019 at 11:28 AM This is how I have it set up. There are probably other ways but this seems to work. In the Addon Scenery folder, there is a subfolder for each add-on airport. Within the airport subfolder there is a Scenery folder that contains the bgl files. There may or may not also be a Texture folder, depending on the files that were supplied with the scenery. So, for KORD, the path is Addon Scenery\KORD\Scenery and the bgl files are in the Scenery subfolder. When you start FS9, the subfolder should now appear in the add-on scenery library list, and you need to tick the KORD area to activate it. Restart FS9 and the add-on scenery should load. Andreas Fuchs Posted June 3, 2019 at 02:02 PM Posted June 3, 2019 at 02:02 PM Please keep in mind that you are NOT able to modify the file scenery.cfg through FS9 when using a 64bit operating systems such as Windows 7, 8 and 10! That's why I highly recommend using a freeware program called SceneryConfigEditor: https://sourceforge.net/projects/fs-sceditor/ With its help you will be able to add, delete and edit your scenery-database. David Franklin Posted September 1, 2020 at 05:03 PM Posted September 1, 2020 at 05:03 PM Thanks for the information! Seeing as not much updates are going to be done as far as scenery, I may need to do my own. Looking at ORD, they've done some MAJOR work!!! David Franklin NBL4638G Americas HUB - KDFW Dallas/Ft. Andreas Fuchs Posted September 1, 2020 at 07:06 PM Posted September 1, 2020 at 07:06 PM It may be worth checking out X-Plane 11, there's an awesome freeware community, especially regarding sceneries.
