Richard McDonald Woods Posted June 16, 2019 at 08:26 AM Posted June 16, 2019 at 08:26 AM With the forthcoming availability of AfV, will there be any corresponding updates/replacement of VAT-Spy My preferences would be for: - a near real-time update of the map display - an improved quality of the map graphics Cheers, Richard You are the music, until the music stops. Kirk Christie Posted June 16, 2019 at 11:16 AM Posted June 16, 2019 at 11:16 AM VAT-Spy is not made by VATSIM, it is a 3rd party client. If you want changes, go to the support forum for that product http://www1.metacraft.com/VATSpy/ Kirk Christie - VATPAC C3 VATPAC Undercover ATC Agent Worldflight Perth 737-800 Crew Member
Kenneth Haught Posted June 17, 2019 at 12:55 AM Posted June 17, 2019 at 12:55 AM ...- a near real-time update of the map display Also, unless VATSIM changes their current server setup this cannot happen. VATSIM clients do not pull from the live server, but rather via an automatically generated status.txt file which shows the location, altitude, etc for each connection. That is only written every so often, and can only be accessed to update a display program at a corresponding rate. To get live data, you have to be physically logged into the live server Anchorage Deputy Air Traffic Manager VATSIM Senior Supervisor (Team 1) Have a question or concern?
