Another day with another event! Indonesia vACC is now collaborating with Malaysia vACC to have another fantastic event. In this event, we're featuring Kota Kinabalu and Tarakan as our next destination. Kota Kinabalu is a city known for its tourism in South East Asia, their airport is the second busiest airport in Malaysia. In the other hand, Tarakan is a hidden treasure in Indonesia. It's a place where you can find the blue-color sea and some traditional home. Tarakan also has one of the beaches in the world.

 

When is it? 13 July 2019, 1200-1400Z

Where is it? Kota Kinabalu International Airport (WBKK/BKI) - Juwata International Airport (WAQQ/TRK) vv

 

Any preferred route? Yes!

If you're flying Kota Kinabalu to Tarakan, ELPOX M522 MAMOK.

Do you have any special instructions?

- Parking bay in Tarakan

Pilots are required to park straight at the apron to maximize the space since the airport doesn't have taxi lines.

 

- Preferred runway in Tarakan

ILS Runway 06 is preferable, pilots are to expect to hold over MAMOK / KIBAL due to aircraft backtrack on the runway for departure.

 

- SID procedure in Kota Kinabalu

All departures from Kota Kinabalu are to expect using Kinabalu Radar Departures, initial [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned heading will be given by ATC.

 

- High Terrains surrounding Kota Kinabalu

Pilots are required to exercise extra cautions for high terrain around the aerodrome during departure and arrival.

* All flight and ATC services will be operated under the VATSIM, VATSIM Malaysia, and Indonesia vACC regulations.
