Hello VatSim

So Last saturday, I had booked myself og a event. To fly from Frankfurt(EDDF) to Dubai(OMDB)

When I first connected every thing was fine, and going into 3rd person view did work, but as soon as I began to look around FSX immidiatly crashed.

So I wanted to hear if you ever have heard about this problem before?

I tried it 3 more time before after tweaking how may planes I could see and from how far.

I got it to work.

But am I at fault to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ume. If I haven't read it wrong, that how many planes you can see only should affect my FPS or could it also make my game crash?

And after I got airborne and 5hour after coming in close over the destenation airport my game crashes again, when I went to 3rd person view to look at the airport.

You'd have to provide crash information from the event viewer for us to attempt to definitively help. On the surface, however, it almost sounds like an out of memory error. That said, I don't recall hearing about crashes just from looking around. I will say that my eyes certainly can't see traffic more than 5-6 or so miles away, so if you were looking farther from that, depending on your computer specs, it's certainly possible that the computer could "see" (i.e. the computer was loading a lot more into memory and overtaxing your memory and/or GPU memory) more than you could, so you induced a sim crash.

I am reasonably certain that it has nothing to do with vPilot, so I moved the topic. (and if we find out later it does, I'll move it back. )

There are probably plenty of others smarter than I on the topic, though -- they may know better and post and then we'll both learn something!
