I have just done 2 flights and i have received the following error message and been disconnected "Failed to create aircraft SPK767 using default model Bombardier CRJ 700. You must set a valid default model or you will keep getting this error disconnecting from network. Usually you get an error but it doesnt disconnect. Can anyone help as its getting quite frustrating

Which client are you using? It appears that it is trying to spawn the Default FSX CRJ700 as the default aircraft (the one that shows up when the aircraft code isn't a standard ICAO one, or if you don't have that aircraft type in your AI aircraft).

If you are using Prepar3d, then the FSX CRJ700.... doesn't exist. So it will spawn this error.

The best solution for now would be to select a different aircraft as the default. I changed mine to a White 737 (part of the http://flai.bvartcc.com/ pack) which is a bit unfortunate when someone is trying to spawn a Piper Super Cub at a gr[Mod - Happy Thoughts] airfield with 700 metre long runways - but kinda ok if they're spawning a Boeing B777F (instead of the correct code B77L) at Big City International.
