Annoyingly now, it's not letting me connect, and says that the server has been retired!!

Firstly please watch your language. I have removed the offending part. Please remember we have people from all ages and walks of life here.

 

Secondly, the error message should have been a great hint. The server you were trying has been retired. Why not choose another one?

vPilot automatically fetches the current server list when it first starts up. It will only use the previously-cached list if something causes the server list download to fail. Therefore, there is no need for a command to manually refresh the list.

I just get a connection refused or connection timed out message when trying these... Any troubleshooting hints/tips?

Yes it was similar to that. I had to paste one of the current servers. Apparently neither squawkbox not fsinn are picking up the updated server list.

But in the end it worked that's what important

Have you tried swift with FS9? There seem to be some teething problems, but the more testers we have, the better.
