[31 AUG 19] The Northern Expedition

Nepal vACC and Pakistan VACC are proud to announce their first connection event between the 2 vACC’s The Northern Expedition. The event is scheduled to take place on August 31st between 1530z and 1730z. The event will takeoff in Pakistan at their 3rd largest civil airport OPLA - Allama Iqbal International Airport. Just after takeoff you’ll enter into Indian Airspace over their Northern plateau states following the southern portion of the Himalayas before making a descent into the high terrain area of Kathmandu Valley and arriving at VNKT - Tribhuvan International Airport.

 

Preferred Routing

 

A route has been generated with the latest airac to ensure smooth transition throughout the event. Its advised for pilots to use this route as it’ll reduce the workload especially to the controllers at Nepal vACC.
