Dear friends,

We are glad to invite you to the first in this season "Real-Ops" fly-in. Traditionally, the oldest Moscow airport opens Real-Ops series. It is Vnukovo!

Сonstruction works began in 1937, and it was opened on June, 2nd, 1941. Airport with its more than 80 years history, Vnukovo used to be a military airfield, an airport for royal VIPs, and in the middle of XX century it became the major airport of Moscow, p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ing this role only in the late 80s. Nowadays Vnukovo is a modern p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]enger airport with a capacity of 25 mil p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]engers annually, being a hub for russian UTair and Rossiya airlines, for the first russian low-cost airline Pobeda and the base of "Rossiya" Special Flight Squadron, which performes transportation of the Russian Government.

On the 22th of September from 13:00 up to 18:00 UTC we invite you to fly in and out of the most difficult airport of Moscow Area Center under full ATC coverage. We draw you attention that there are no flights of private aircraft in our booking, however we will be happy to see them in our skies!

Get your charts ready and pour a spare tonn of fuel in your tank - the queus may reach dozens due to traffic congestion during single-runway ops. At present we usually use RNAV STARs in Moscow airports. Be ready to execute them. If your aircraft for any reason does not provide RNAV, do not forget to report it to the ATC! Also, do not forget that in Russia (except Saint-Petersburg FIR), QFE and meters below the transition level are still used. The conversion table of heights and altitudes by QFE and QNH you can find here. Pay attention that controller will give you QFE and height in meters and you should convert them according to the table before set it on MCP.

During flight operations please stick to speed restrictions on departure and arrival routes, as well as the necessity of avoiding restricted areas as published in charts.

It's allowable to change aircraft types for the same cl[Mod - Happy Thoughts], e.g. Airbus A319/320/321 within the family or for Boeing 737 family.

BOOKING is available here

See you in the skies of Moscow TMA!
