vPilot Version 2.3.0 Released

Hello all,

Two days ago I released vPilot version 2.3.0 in the Beta channel. The main reason for this version is to pave the way for the switch over to the new voice system, AFV. Normally I would keep a new release in Beta status much longer, but since the AFV launch is coming soon, I decided to promote v2.3.0 to Stable status today.

In addition to being "AFV Ready", version 2.3.0 includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

- 0002781: Allow users to ignore device buttons when configuring PTT.

- 0002779: The .com1/2 dot command should retain the current freq in the standby slot.

- 0002780: Add notes tab.

- 0002778: Check for existence of main exe file when detecting installed sims.

- 0002773: Improve error message when selected server not found.

- 0002760: Model exclusions are now retained when model changes are detected.

Yesterday, I installed the Vpilot 2.3.0, in the installation I indicated that I had to update the NETFRAME, which it did (4., but when I start the Vpilot, it stays frozen in the start window.

I still work with W7, if they have a solution I would appreciate it

Regards Ross

I explain what happens, the Vpilot module that works well is "Vpilot Mode Host", the others are frozen, like the image you send.

I send you another image

Does it work if you run it in standalone mode?

The only modules that work are those that have nothing to do with voice connection, "Vpilot Remote Host and Vpilot Host Mode" are the ones that start

I'm afraid I have no idea what is causing it. It might help if you run it in debug mode and see what appears in the debug console. Please give that a try and let me know what you see in the debug console.

Have you rebooted your computer since installing .net 4.7?

Have you tried running vPilot as an administrator?

Saul, I found that I was having a similar problem with vERAM, and I tracked it down to my PTT device setting. When I manually deleted the PTT section from the vERAMConfig.xml file, it was able to start up just fine.

What do you have configured for PTT in vPilot?

Good morning Roos

Thank you for being aware of my topic, I have run Vpilot as administrator and many times, and I installed NetFrame 4.7.2 and it has not worked, today I am going to download Netframe 4.7 and try it.

Last night I was trying to work with the ports (3290) but the result has been the same it stays frozen when it starts

Hi Ross

I had not seen the PTT question, I usually have it set for a Jostick key.

I was all afternoon trying to configure with Netframe 4.7 and it didn't work, I installed Netframe 4.7.2, and it didn't work either.

Reinstall the Vpilot 2.1.17 and if it works very well

You will not be able to use any version prior to 2.3.0 after this Sunday when the new voice system launches.

Do me a favor and try this. Using version 2.1, set your PTT to a keyboard key. Then install 2.3.1 and see if it still locks up when you start it up.

Ok, I'll do that test; I'm also downloading a series of W7 updates that were pending download.

I do the test and I'll let you know tomorrow

Saul, one last thing to try ... install a fresh copy of vPilot 2.3.2 in a new folder, not the same folder you have used before. Something like C:\vPilot. I'm curious if a fresh install will run. If it does run, and it sends you into the settings window, do not configure a PTT. Configure everything else that you need to configure, but do not set a PTT device. Then close vPilot and restart it, and see if it still lets you run it.

Excellent. Are you able to use your yoke button as PTT now?

If I can use the PTT button, I tested it by talking with some pilots by UNICOM
