Roger Harris 851201 Posted October 16, 2019 at 09:10 AM Posted October 16, 2019 at 09:10 AM Hi all, Firstly, thanks to all of the team for the AFV rollout and for coming up with all the extra stuff like xPilot. Awesome job. I need to know if xPilot can be run across a network? At the outset, let me say that xPilot works fine for me - I use Aerowinx PSX10 as my main simulator, with X-plane 11 as simple visuals. These run on two separate machines. If I run xPilot on the X-plane 11 machine, all works brilliantly - but I have to have the battery turned on in X-plane for the radios to work. I haven't tried running for any length of time, so it may turn out I'll have to have the engines running in X-plane as well in order for the battery not to run out! However, all works as expected and the voice quality is fantastic! But, and this may seem trivial, my controls are attached to the PSX machine and so xPilot cannot pick up the yoke's button-press to activate the PTT. In the original install of xPilot we need to define the path to the X-plane directory so I had an idea - I uninstalled from the X-plane machine and reinstalled on the PSX machine, defining the network path to the X-plane directory, residing on the second machine. All seemed well - the plugin duly appeared in the Resources/Plugins folder on the second machine - so there is a level of network consciousness in xPilot there. But no connection was made to X-plane by xPilot over the network. I run a fixed-base cockpit, so having the PTT on the yoke is important for me. Any ideas? Thanks, Roger.
