Tom Slott Posted October 16, 2019 at 04:00 PM Posted October 16, 2019 at 04:00 PM Is it posible to record my voice to Youtube videos as it is heard to others. I mean to get the real radiovoice like I hear the ATC voice? Now I can only record my own voice as a "normal sound" and not as a radiosound. Tim Simpson Posted October 16, 2019 at 06:35 PM Posted October 16, 2019 at 06:35 PM Stream yourself on Twitch, and the video/audio will be from the VATSIM network.
Board of Governors Simon Kelsey Posted October 16, 2019 at 09:31 PM Board of Governors Posted October 16, 2019 at 09:31 PM Your voice will pretty much always be 'local' as your Audio for VATSIM radio is half-duplex -- you can only transmit or receive but not both simultaneously. This is pretty much how it is if you record the radio/intercom in a real aircraft as well -- you are just recording the intercom output, not the radio transmission itself. Tim Simpson Posted October 16, 2019 at 09:55 PM Posted October 16, 2019 at 09:55 PM Another way is to find someone who is flying on VATSIM, and streaming on Twitch. Log into the network, get in the air near them, and then contact ATC for a pop up IFR, or VFR flight following. This way, you will hear your voice over their connection that they are broadcasting. Robert Shearman Jr Posted October 16, 2019 at 11:00 PM Posted October 16, 2019 at 11:00 PM Record using something like Audacity, then apply some filters to emulate radio sound. A quick Google search will provide some good settings / parameters you can use. Cheers, -R.
