To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

I'm not a developer -- I can barely spell code never mind understand it -- and I know that higher/bigger numbers are often better than smaller/lower ones, but I know that .NET 4.7.2 is a requirement for AFV, but in your error log 4.7.2 doesn't appear (though 4.8.xxxx does). I remember when testing/supporting other software, the developer made a point that even though some folks were using .NET with a bigger number, *also* having the version with the lower number installed in parallel was required. And he was "wicked smaht" and always right -- when folks installed the lower number, their problems were resolved 100% of the time IIRC.

 

Again, I don't know the true significance and if 4.8.xxxx should work fine if 4.7.2 is required. Maybe someone smarter about those things can weigh in. Just something I noticed.

That's good input and I was thinking the same when I checked what version I'm at.

 

However, I don't really fancy installing old OS components potentially used by many other applications as well.

 

I rather hope the xPilot devs if this indeed is the culprit will make xPilot compatible with the latest version.

i have the same error also, so xpilot is completely useless to us all once you have updated to 4.8 as there is no way to reinstall the .net framework as it is part of the OS?

We have another thread on this going. Seems several people are now having this issue, yet it worked for me earlier today but now I am experiencing the issue.

Yes i posted in the other thread as well. I concur. If one does not have .NET 4.7.2 installed, then you get this error. So I'm hopeful the Dev's will make it compatible with v4.8 because they are not backword compatible.
