Tyler Hanus 1061071 Posted October 20, 2019 at 12:02 AM Posted October 20, 2019 at 12:02 AM Tonight is my first night with the new audio. I went through and updated vpilot but for some reason after around 10-15 minutes I get the message Disconnected from voice server, reason lost connection. I am still connected to vatsim and can see traffic but my audio stops working.

John Golin Posted October 20, 2019 at 09:16 PM Posted October 20, 2019 at 09:16 PM I'm sure you've thought of this Gary et al, but in the recesses of my WorldFlight beverage altered memory I recall an issue in the past where connections were lost because the persons internet router would timeout on the UDP session... I wonder if some of the disconnects may result from this issue? If so people may need to change the default timeout interval. Board of Governors Simon Kelsey Posted October 20, 2019 at 09:31 PM Board of Governors Posted October 20, 2019 at 09:31 PM Hi John, This shouldn't (in theory) be an issue any more as AFV sends a UDP keepalive every 3 seconds which was more than frequently enough for all the router firmwares we researched. If the server doesn't receive a heartbeat in 15 seconds (i.e. 5 dropped heartbeats) then the connection is dropped. I am having the same issue. Disconnected from voice constantly. If I turn on a VPN - no issue
