Logan Waldman Posted October 20, 2019 at 06:18 PM Posted October 20, 2019 at 06:18 PM Since audio for vatsim released, I've been experiencing a problem where after 30 minues to a few hours of being connected to the network, vPilot seems to stop registering my microphone. If I try to restart vPilot, it no longer produces any sound either. Strangely, another symptom that manifests at the same time is if I try to open my playback devices tab of the sound settings of my computer and try to "test" the playback of my headphones, I only hear about a half second beep before that stops as well. This seems to me like some sound related driver or process is crashing in the background of my computer, however I can't be sure. At first, this sounded like an issue that some others have with a program called VoiceMeeter that I use, so I tried uninstalling that. This did have some effect, but nothing major. With VoiceMeeter installed, I would average about 30 minutes before this issue would happen, now it seems to last for about 3 hours before breaking. I have controlled for several hours on end without this issue forming on the standalone client, so this is either related to vPilot itself, or the additonal CPU usage from running a simulator as well. Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or have any possible solutions? Thanks! NYARTCC Community Manager
