Jim Hromada 1467414 Posted October 27, 2019 at 04:14 AM Posted October 27, 2019 at 04:14 AM Hi, i'm a newbie and have not logged in to use this service yet. I watched the 7 video's on how to go from start to finish. Well that was years ago on the old system/software and it didn't quite look the same as the new software i am using. So i am not sure what i need to do exactly. I have gotten to the part when i go to log on to the service and it asks me to fill in the fields. These are the fields that i guess i need to fill out to get on. (RECENT AIRCRAFT) (CALLSIGN) (TYPE CODE) (SELCAL CODE) and then there is a box that says CONNECT IN SHARED COCKPIT MODE. So, i am guessing i type in the air plane i am flying with aka A2A Comanche 250 or Carenado Piper Cherokee 180 ect. right? And then the call sign must be the tail number. Now i don't know what type code is or Selcal code means and i don't know if i should tick the box to connect in shared mode or not. Can someone help me along with this? I have my mic and headset setup and working already. I believe once i get these few things answered, i'll be ready to get on and start. Now my last question is, once i am on and i'm in my plane ready to contact ground to get permission to taxi to the runway, do i just do it, or is there something i have to do or say before i request to taxi? Thanks for any help on this. I wish they would make 7 video's on how to with the new system as well. That would be so helpful. Oh i am using FSX Steam and Active Sky 16 and vpilot.
