Hanspeter Rutschmann 85334 Posted November 3, 2019 at 11:04 AM Posted November 3, 2019 at 11:04 AM (edited) Hi Community, Anyone got an idea? - Freshly installed Notebook with Windows 10 Home 1903, fully patched. - Euroscope 2.3 Basic installed into c:\Euroscope - Tried Beta Updates r17, r21, r23 (each with complete de-/reinstall of Basic R2.3) - Installed LSAS Airac into c:\Euroscope-LSAS - Installed AfV, default - Downloaded and copied AfvEuroScopeBridge.dll into appropriate plugins directory. (edit: also tried c:\Euroscope, same same) - and certainly checked all file system privileges over again… - Started ES and tried to load AfvEuroScopeBridge.dll. I keep getting the error message: "Failed to load plugin DLL" Thanks, HP. Edited November 7, 2019 at 09:15 PM by Guest best regards, HP. Hanspeter Rutschmann 85334 Posted November 6, 2019 at 09:31 PM Author Posted November 6, 2019 at 09:31 PM No one a good idea? Our tech genius Mike chased me through installing all .Net Runtime installs back to 2010. No luck... Strange, too: I was unable to install the VRF plugin (same error), but vStrip was going through right away... best regards, HP. Juha Holopainen Posted November 7, 2019 at 07:24 AM Posted November 7, 2019 at 07:24 AM Hi, the error is probably caused by a missing Visual Studio runtime, not a .NET one. Which one, it depends on what version the plugin was compiled with, but they can all be downloaded here.
Hanspeter Rutschmann 85334 Posted November 7, 2019 at 08:01 AM Author Posted November 7, 2019 at 08:01 AM Hi Juha, Thanks! I just saw I was inexact... This was the very side Mike sent me to, though. From there, I installed - Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 - Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 - Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4, and - Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 (Installer) in this sequence. After each install, I rebooted and tried to load again this plugin.. No change... But then (last resort), I overlooked the " Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update". No idea what this does, but Security Updates always sounds good. I'll install this tonight. Does anyone know, what the RDF and the AfV plugins have in common - and differs from the vStrip plugin? (Barred from the development year?) best regards, HP. Juha Holopainen Posted November 7, 2019 at 09:00 AM Posted November 7, 2019 at 09:00 AM At least for RDF, the required package is the 2015/2017/2019 one. I believe it's the same for the AFV Bridge plugin. You did download the x86 version, right?
Hanspeter Rutschmann 85334 Posted November 7, 2019 at 11:41 AM Author Posted November 7, 2019 at 11:41 AM Nope, the ia64. Should I try the X86 as well? best regards, HP. Leader vACC Switzerland
Juha Holopainen Posted November 7, 2019 at 11:54 AM Posted November 7, 2019 at 11:54 AM Yes, it's the x86 runtimes you need for this.

Hanspeter Rutschmann 85334 Posted November 7, 2019 at 09:14 PM Author Posted November 7, 2019 at 09:14 PM Bingo! Juha, you saved my day, and more than that. It never came to me to install anything x86 on a 64bit Architecture... Cheers, HP. best regards, HP. Leader vACC Switzerland
