Andrew Rogers 913862 Posted August 23, 2006 at 03:34 AM Posted August 23, 2006 at 03:34 AM My staff and I when useing sweat box need to add 30 deg to the heading so they go in the right direction. Is there any way to fix this? Andrew Rogers Senior Controller -HCF
Paul O'Donnell 969350 Posted October 3, 2007 at 09:46 PM Posted October 3, 2007 at 09:46 PM I've been learning how to use ACSim (Sweatbox) recently, pretty straight forward, the only problem I have is similar to this. I've noticed that the heading are about a 30 degree offset, so the aircraft don't establish on the localiser properly. I thought it might be to do with the magnetic variation, but couldn't find where to change it. I also noticed this thread: http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=10420 So it seems that it is possible to edit the magnetic variation. Could anyone explain how to change the magnetic variation, or does anyone know of a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance Edit: After reading abit more clearly I've discovered its a usual problem for other areas. I think I now know where to change the magnetic variation, in the sector file I'm guessing. I'll have abit more playing around to get more familiar with things.
