I am struggling since the latest upgrade to Version 2.4.0 of VPilot and need help.

I seem to have a problem with getting the audio from my flight sim (FSXSE) AND the audio from vPilot to play through my headset simultaneously! It worked just fine with the previous versions of VPilot but not since the latest upgrade/imporvements. I can get one or the other to play through my headset (not USB type - just 3.5mm mic and headphone socket type) but only by switching a setting in the VIA HD VDeck application that I have that controls the setup of my Creative Sound Surround Sound 5.1. speakers.

First a little about my System setup. I am running

Microsoft Windows 10 Home

X64 - based PC

FSX-SE

vPilot Version 2.4..0

Creative Sound 5.1 Surround Sound System connecting directly to the sound ports of the motherboard ASUS 5546LDE motherboard

Shown below is a picture of the VIA HD VDeck application that controls my surround sound system. As you can see it is a standard 5.1 Setup.

I have;

2 off front speakers

2 off rear speakers

1 off Centre Speaker

1 off Sub Woofer

What seems to be happening is FSX is playing through the front/back and sub soowfer speakers.

The vPilot audio (for some reason) is now only playing through the centre speaker. How can I tell?

Well I have a headset (with mic) that I can plug into two jacks (one headset one mic) into the front panel of my PC.

If I click on these Jacks in the Via HD audio panel I can tell the Via HD Audio panel what is connected. As you can see in the picture the "Headphone" is selected.

With this selected I can hear the audio (e.g. Cockpit background noise and other sounds) from FSX SE through the headset. However, I cannot hear incoming RT on VPILOT as that seems to only play out of the Center Speaker only (even with the headset connected)!

If I select Center/LFE instead of Headphone then I will hear vPilot audio but nothing from FSXSE.

Before the recent upgrade to vPilot Audio I could hear both through the headset (or through the speakers if headset unplugged)

Somehow, someway vPilot is choosing to route audio through a different path - and it is outputting only on the Center/LFE speaker channel

How do I redirect it so I can hear FSX SE audio and vPilot audio simultaneously?? I need both

Any help gratefully received and much appreciated!

Thanks

Paul
