The coming Thursday evenings, Sweden controllers will open up regional airports in addition to Stockholm-Arlanda that we normally see open on a regular basis.

This is a great opportunity to visit other interesting places in Sweden and also experience full controller coverage from departure to arrival. On each Thursday two regional airports will be featured which is located fairly close to each other. This make it possible for you to fly local VFR flights and practice your night time navigation skills in your Piper 28.

If it isn't VMC or you simply don't fancy the low and slow typer of flying, feel free to take your favorite airliner out of Arlanda and fly into the featured airport.

On 4 December between 17-21z the featured airports are Umeå (ESNU) and Östersund (ESNZ).

The Swedish controllers hope that you will join in and fly into the less visited regional airports to experience something different.

Suggested IFR routes:

ESSA-ESNU: RESNA M607 LENSO

ESSA-ESNZ: RESNA DCT OSLAV

ESNU-ESSA: DEDIT T31 HMR

ESNZ-ESSA: OSLAV DCT ELTOK

ESNU-ESNZ: TINDO DCT BENKA

ESNZ-ESNU: BENKA DCT TINDO

Last but not least, please remember your charts.
