Tristan Marchent Posted November 30, 2019 at 03:59 PM Posted November 30, 2019 at 03:59 PM Hi Guys, Hope you are well. So something recently for a while has been really bugging me and also making me start to not enjoy flight sim because when I want to fly I would like to connect up the VATSIM network using vPilot. I rent a room here in Guernsey and the internet connection is ok, it was worse but has got better. I use an Ethernet cable plugged into the wall which goes to the router downstairs. However, I cannot connect up to VATSIM for like more than either 10-20 mins at the moment without either, not being able to connect in the first place or just getting disconnected. Also with this I can get connection with voice server lost and it's very frustrating. So, what have I done to fix this. Initially thinking it was an internet issue, I restarted the router. Sometimes works sometimes doesn't but as I said it will then disconnect again shortly afterwards. I then thought it was my firewall settings (McAfee, Malware bytes, windows defender etc) so I excluded various programmes within them, still not connecting. I then have now uninstalled that software and it's still not connecting. The internet is fine and allows me to use it elsewhere (Youtube, news etc) and the other programmes I have work with it, Active sky etc. But there's not much fun flying offline personally. Does anyone have any advice they can give? I've restarted the router about 5 times already today.. And here's what I see pretty much all the time. Error 10060. If any could help that would be most appreciated. Thanks, Tristan Kind Regards, Tristan Marchent UK fATPL(A) - EMB195 First Officer
