On Sunday, December 29, from 1400z to 2000z, Portugal vACC is hosting the Madeira New Year's event.

Madeira island is known for its wine, beaches and resorts, but what really makes Madeira famous is its challenging airport and approach procedure and its world renowned and guiness book of World Records for the largest firework show in the world.

Expect full ATC at LPMA and LPPT, and top down coverage at LPPR and LPFR. Charts can be found here:

http://charts.portugal-vacc.org/

We are available for any question, to make sure your flight is as pleasurable as possible. And don't forget, expect the hold at ABUSU as published.

A few route suggestions:

GANSU DCT NARTA DCT LIDRO

Odd flight level

LPPR-LPMA

ASMOV DCT NARTA DCT LIDRO

Odd flight level

LPFR-LPMA

A LPMA Briefing Package has recently been released. You can find it here: http://old.portugal-vacc.org/LPMA.pdf

Be aware that several of the holds listed in the "HOLDINGS" category are not published, but may be used during high traffic periods if the need arises. You should be ready to perform whichever hold the controllers consider to be suitable.
