X-Pilot not launching after every use

Hi,

 

After the recent update, X-Pilot will not launch when clicked. I have to uninstall, re-install, and launch in order to make it work. After I am done with my flight(s) and quit X-Plane, the next time I try to launch X-Pilot, nothing happens and I need to uninstall/reinstall again.

 

Anyone else with this issue or with suggestions on how to fix this? I have tried the usual uninstall with the X-Pilot uninstaller, uninstall via remove programs in Windows 10, and restarts.

Do you have an antivirus that might be blocking xPilot?

I checked BullGuard after re-installing and it does not seem indicate placing XPilot in quarantine or any other notification [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ociated with it.

Do you have Windows defender disabled? Have you tried whitelisting xPilot in your antivirus?

Defender is running but Bullguard takes over the Firewall duties and it has XPilot on permitted list. Firewall and antivirus have been unchanged since the updates. Voice comms have been fine on it.

Hmmm... I’m honestly not sure what would be causing this. It definitely sounds like something on your machine is blocking access to xPilot.

Thanks for the attempts anyway...appreciated. It's odd that it works at clean install and then ceases to launch after first close.

OK...ran it as administrator and it launched.
