Dace Nicmane Posted January 11, 2020 at 04:29 PM Posted January 11, 2020 at 04:29 PM What new IP address? My Vatspy is having a problem with data download since a few days. It keeps saying the data are outdated.
Orjan Polman Posted January 11, 2020 at 04:46 PM Posted January 11, 2020 at 04:46 PM I also got the "Data is outdated" message. (And now Vatspy won't even open.. Very strange.) EDIT: it opens now after a PC reboot, but still get the "outdated data". I'm sure I must have missed something as I can't recall anything about a new ip address. Ross Carlson Posted January 11, 2020 at 07:43 PM Posted January 11, 2020 at 07:43 PM The data are being updated normally, so it's not a problem with the data source. Normally this issue is caused by the clock on your computer being set wrong or having the wrong time zone set. Orjan Polman Posted January 12, 2020 at 07:55 AM Posted January 12, 2020 at 07:55 AM Thanks Ross. Later last night it seemed to be working again, as I did a short flight online and it updated normally without error. But the "new server IP address", is that something we should change manually or is it done automatically? Pardon the noob question... Cheers. Ross Carlson Posted January 12, 2020 at 04:32 PM Posted January 12, 2020 at 04:32 PM But the "new server IP address", is that something we should change manually or is it done automatically? I'm not sure what that person was referring to. There is no server IP address that you have to configure in VAT-Spy. Orjan Polman Posted January 12, 2020 at 08:29 PM Posted January 12, 2020 at 08:29 PM Nice to get it confirmed, thanks again Ross! Will double check things on my end again. Cheers. Regards Orjan Polman
Gerald Musselman Posted January 13, 2020 at 08:15 PM Author Posted January 13, 2020 at 08:15 PM When I get out of vatspy, then try to see it again, it will not come up. Someone was saying it was already running in the background. How do you force it up?
Ross Carlson Posted January 13, 2020 at 08:24 PM Posted January 13, 2020 at 08:24 PM Did you check if it is minimized to the system tray? Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC

Kirk Christie Posted January 25, 2020 at 03:11 AM Posted January 25, 2020 at 03:11 AM Look at Task manager. But if its not in the system tray, then it would not be running. Lauri Uusitalo Posted February 5, 2020 at 05:09 PM Posted February 5, 2020 at 05:09 PM Sometimes Vatspy just dies and disappears. Then you have to close it via TaskManager and restart.
