Albert Welledits Posted October 3, 2021 at 08:37 AM Posted October 3, 2021 at 08:37 AM …I spent so far for the two networking PCs in total Euro 5.000,— plus the parts for the sim another 13.000,—. I was willing to pay Austin for the time of one of his experts to screen my system by remote access (Team Viewer) but he neither was willing to take the crumbles nor the time…. Obviously we don’t have any computer experts in Europe having sufficient knowledge about the hardware demands of XP11 who are able/willing to serve as consultants. I know all tutorials on YouTube about this fps-problem, I have tried all of their recommendations, I’ve spend hundreds of hours of night time with this instead sleeping, without any success. The problem is, I need this SIM for extra training, for flight preparations to unknown airports, to stay current with the instruments, to prepare for nightVFR and ATC would be a very helpful tool, but as soon as it gets important (crossing CTS Vienna, landing in LOWW or LZIB) I get kicked out because for about 30sec I only have 19fps… more and more I believe, that XP11 works only with some specific components in a specific combination… …but what is this secret???? Unfortunately, that's just the reality of business. His resources are far better spent on efforts that make the product better for the entire flight simulation market, rather than spending time going down the rabbit hole of troubleshooting anomalous performance on a single computer. Clearly your situation is rare, else X-Plane would not be as successful as it is. If I were in your position, I would go through a process of elimination and figure out where the bottle neck is. I would start with a vanilla installation of the operating system, and a vanilla installation of X-Plane, absolutely zero add-ons. And I would run it on a single screen. Assuming you get frame rates in the triple digits, I would change one thing at a time, to see where the problem lies. Literally change just ONE thing at a time. It could take days, obviously, but that's what I would do. Perhaps https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/ would be a better place to ask for advice? You could start a thread there and provide enough information, like log.txt file etc.
