Christian Delisle Posted January 19, 2020 at 05:21 PM Posted January 19, 2020 at 05:21 PM Hello to all, Will any of you fly on VATSIM with the Flight1-ATR72? If yes, do you have the same problem as me? Other aircraft in the 12 or 6 nm radius do not always appear on the TCAS. I have to click on ABOVE or BELOW on the TCAS. In normal mode, planes rarely appear. Does anyone have an answer to this problem? Ross Carlson Posted January 19, 2020 at 05:49 PM Posted January 19, 2020 at 05:49 PM Are those aircraft above or below you? If so, that's the whole point of the above/below modes. The normal mode only shows aircraft that are close to your altitude. I'm not sure what the tolerance is in the ATR. Andreas Fuchs Posted January 19, 2020 at 07:20 PM Posted January 19, 2020 at 07:20 PM If programmed correctly, in normal mode TCAS will only show you traffic within +/- 2,500ft of your own altitude. ABOVE and BELOW will increase the vertical range in the respective direction to 10,000ft.
