Possible bug report: planes not removed when closing

I found last night that if you are connected to VATSIM and close xPilot, other players' CSLs are not removed. Only if you Disconnect first do they disappear.

POSSIBLY related: on many occasions, after flying in high-traffic areas for a while, my sim will very suddenly become very stuttery -- still getting around 30 to 35 frames, but, only for a half-second at a time, then pausing for a half-second. Closing xPilot does NOT fix this, but re-starting xPilot thereafter does. Armed with my new knowledge above, next time it happens I'll try Disconnect then Connect, and see if it helps clear it up immediately upon the Disconnect.

I can't seem to locate the thread -- but, it seems to me that very early on after xPilot's release, there was a bug report about CSLs reaching the draw range limit and getting stuck there, not being removed from the sim. I wonder if something like this is still happening, and they are building up over time, until hitting a memory limit causing the stutters (possibly hard drive memory swaps?) -- then, closing and reopening the client erases the frozen ones?

Sorry so much of this is speculation. What additional data can I gather to prove or disprove this theory?

Cheers,
-R.
